A COPPLESTONE six-year-old has, so far, raised an astonishing amount of money for a charity, and is also going to donate her hair to the very same cause.

Evie-Mae has been growing her hair for almost four years and on Wednesday, May 11 will have 12 inches of hair cut off so that it can be donated to The Little Princess Trust.

Evie-Mae’s mum, Lisa Camp explained: “It takes more than 12 hair donations and £550 to make just one wig.

“Evie-Mae is hoping she can raise £550 to accompany her donation and give hair and hope to a young person with cancer.

“So far she has raised more than £300.

“To raise extra funds and try to reach her target Evie-Mae is also planning to sell cakes after school at Copplestone Primary School, her school.”

The Little Princess Trust, founded in memory of five-year-old Hannah Tarplee, supplies the best real-hair wigs available, free of charge, to children and young people up to the age of 24, who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or other illnesses.  For more information please visit: https://www.littleprincesses.org.uk .
