THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3

2pm to 3pm – Crediton Courier drop–in, Crediton Library.

FRIDAY 4

10am to 4pm - and September 5 and 6, Sewn Together, an exhibition of locally handmade quilts and textiles, St Matthew’s Church, Coldridge, free admission, donations welcome, donations to Devon Air Ambulance and St Matthew’s Fabric Fund.

7.30pm - Auction of Promises, Exeter Inn, Thorverton, catalogues from August 27 at Thorverton Post Office, many lots, proceeds to go to repair and restoration of Thorverton Church.

9am to 11am - Entries welcomed for Lapford Village Show, Victory Hall, public viewing from 3pm, teas.

10am to 1pm – Crediton Farmers’ Market, Town Square.

10am to 1pm - Craft Fair, Boniface Centre, in aid of Crediton Parish Church, 20 stalls, refreshments.

12pm to 2pm - Colebrooke Flower and Produce Show, Colebrooke Parish Hall and St Andrew’s Church, pulled pork, refreshments and cake and a chance to view exhibits.

12 noon to 3pm - Picnic in the Park, Crossways Park and Community Garden, Whitestone Parish Hall, all welcome.

1pm - Sampford Courtenay Flower and Veg Show opens to public, Village Hall, refreshments.

3.30pm - Public viewing opens, Chulmleigh and District Garden Society Autumn Show, The Pavilion, Chulmleigh.

6.30pm - doors open for 7pm start, quiz and pasty supper evening for teams of 4 to 6 people at £10 adult (£5 children), in aid of Crediton Parish Church. Book in your team with Mandy at [email protected] or 07590374429. Bar and raffle.

10am to 4pm - and 13th, Aid Art for Gaza exhibition, Crediton Arts Centre.

1pm to midnight - Thorfest, festival of live music, local food, ales and cider and a celebration of the village and wider community. Thorverton Village Hall.
