7.30pm - A Year and A Day, actor Christopher Sainton-Clark performance, Crediton Arts Centre, £13.

SATURDAY 19

10am to 1pm - Crediton Farmers’ Market, Town Square, including Crediton Lions Club stall collecting bras, spectacles and hearing aid batteries.

3pm - Winkleigh Fair, Fair in the Square, music, games, entertainment, barbecue, drinks, ice cream.

6.45pm - Doors open for Meat Bingo, Boniface Centre, Crediton, in aid of Crediton Parish Church, eyes down 7.30pm. Tea or coffee included in the entrance fee.

SUNDAY 20

11am to 3pm - Crediton Arts Centre Share in the Square, local musicians and entertainers, Town Square, donations welcome.

MONDAY 21

10.30am - Anna Chaplains, Eileen Brassington and Caroline Smith, host a Short Ecumenical Service, Boniface Centre. The service lasts about 40 minutes and will be followed by tea/coffee and cake. Anna Chaplains work with older people, but a warm welcome will be given to all who go along.

TUESDAY 22

6.30pm Church Service to start 771st Chulmleigh Fair, to Saturday, July 26, many events and activities, entertainment, sport, flower festival, craft stalls, sheep show, vintage vehicle rally, fancy dress competition, much more each day.

THURSDAY 24

10am to 3.30pm - Coldridge Cafe, Coldridge Village Hall, cafe, lunches, cakes and hot drinks.

7pm - Music for a Summer’s Evening, St Swithun’s Church, Sandford, with Nigel and Tina Guthrie on flute, piano, organ and voice, in aid of the churchyard path fund, tickets £8 from Sandford Stores, Jean Hope, Linda Bennet-Smith or at the door, light refreshments available for a £5 donation.

8.30am to 6.30pm – Mid Devon Show, Knightshayes, Tiverton.

10am to 12 noon - Bow Market, Bow Village Hall, plus Indian Block Printing Workshop.

10am to 12pm – Crediton Repair Cafe, Elephant on the Green. Bicycle checks available.

1pm to 5pm - Makers Market and Craft Workshop, Morchard Bishop Memorial Hall, local artists and makers, refreshments available.

MONDAY 28

7.15pm - for 7.30pm start. Nigel Browne will present "Charles Bailey, surveyor and musician”, Bow Village Hall EX17 5HU. BDHS members and under 18's free, visitors £4. Tea, coffee and biscuits afterwards. Everyone welcome.

WEDNESDAY 30

10am to 11.30am - Crediton and Area Vintage Farmers Group, Exe Valley Farm Shop Cafe, Thorverton, for retired or semi-retired members of the farming community, new members welcome.

7pm - Crediton Museum “Home Front: War Walk”, one mile guided walk around the town looking at how several locations were affected or transformed during the Second World War. £5 per person. Book your place(s) at the museum or by emailing [email protected] . Further details at creditonhistory.org.uk

SATURDAY 2

10am to 1pm – Crediton Farmers’ Market, Town Square.

2pm to 5pm - Open Garden, Efford House, Efford, Shobrooke, EX17 1BJ for Hospiscare, walks, live music, Pimms and ice creams, admission by donation, dogs on leads welcome, much of it is wheelchair accessible, all welcome.

To August 9 - Crediton Heart Project Summer Arts Festival, workshops, films, music, outdoor cinema, arts in the park.
