THORVERTON is getting ready for another day of music, food and community spirit when Thorfest 2026 returns to Thorverton Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 12.

Now established as a much-anticipated event in the village calendar, Thorfest will bring together live music, local food, bars and a festival atmosphere for a full day of entertainment, running from 1pm through to midnight.

The festival will feature live performances across two stages – the Marquee Stage and Live Lounge – with a varied programme ranging from acoustic favourites and emerging local talent to ska, indie rock, soul, Motown and more.

But while the music is at the heart of Thorfest, the event is ultimately about the community.

Thorfest is organised and staffed by local volunteers, with local businesses and individuals also helping to make the event possible. Importantly, it is a non-profit festival, with all proceeds raised being put back into supporting the Thorverton community.

The organisers say this is what makes Thorfest different from a conventional music festival.

“It’s about bringing people together and creating a great day for everyone, but it’s also about giving something back to the village,” say organisers Mark Welsh and Sam Fice. “Everything is run by volunteers, and the money raised stays within the community, helping support local organisations and projects.”

Following the success of previous festivals, the team is hoping for another strong turnout this year, with families, friends and music lovers from Thorverton and surrounding villages invited to come along and enjoy the day.

With live music, local food and drink, two stages and plenty of festival atmosphere, Thorfest 2026 promises to be another celebration of everything that makes the Thorverton community special.
