SANDFORD Parish Hall is set to come alive again as local favourites LurvGroove return for another disco spectacular on Saturday, October 18.
After the huge success of their last show – which raised over £1,500 for Sandford School – the band is back to deliver two hours of classic disco and pop anthems, including 10 new songs as part of the school’s 200th birthday celebrations.
Expect the dance floor to buzz with tracks from “Earth, Wind and Fire”, the “Bee Gees”, “Whitney Houston”, “ABBA”, “Queen”, “Elton John” and many more.
The event is organised by FOSS – Friends of Sandford School – who are handling tickets, the bar and promotion. Proceeds will fund improvements at Sandford School, supporting new resources and activities for pupils.
Headteacher Hannah Fee said: “We were overwhelmed by the support at the last event and can’t wait to see everyone back on the dance floor. Nights like these make a real difference to our school community.”
LurvGroove – previously The Lurv Handles – have entertained Crediton crowds since 1997, raising money for local causes.
The band features Perdie Geering (vocals), Mike Langhorne (guitar/bass), Richard Tuckett (drums) and Andy Hitchcock (keyboards).
Jo Ward’s dazzling light show, and Dave James’ powerhouse sound system also return for the night.
Tickets, at £6 each, are selling fast – so grab yours now from Crediton Card Centre, Sandford Stores or at: tinyurl.com/LurvGroove
