THE Saint Boniface Concert Society warmly welcomes the outstanding Irish classical guitarist Manus Noble to give the final concert of its 2025 season, on Thursday, September 11, at 7.30pm, in Crediton Parish Church.

Manus Noble is one of the UK's leading classical guitarists known for his strong, unique sound, original compositions and varied recital programmes.

Career highlights include recitals at major UK venues including the Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Sage Gateshead, Bridgewater Hall, King’s Place and Wigmore Hall.

Alongside his life as a performer, Manus is in high demand as a teacher, having taught at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as well as directing the National Youth Guitar Ensemble in Wales. He is Director of the Bunagee Guitar Festival.

Manus gave a brilliant recital at the Society’s AGM in 2022, and members are truly delighted to welcome him back this year, for a full-length concert programme entitled “A Bard’s Tale”.

This programme will take the audience on a journey across many countries of the world and different periods in time, featuring a fascinating range of instruments: the Irish Bouzouki, Handpan, Guzheng, Voice and Shruti Box.

Each piece will be accompanied by a short reading from a letter revealing the spirit of that time period.

Refreshments will be on offer. Crediton Parish Church has parking available, as well as disabled access.

Tickets are available from A E Lee Outfitters, High Street, Crediton, online from: www.ticketsource.co.uk , or on the door. The price is £15 per concert, FREE to full time students under 30.

The Saint Boniface Concert Society is a local charity founded in 1981 to bring top-flight professional musicians to perform in Crediton.

Concerts are kindly supported by “Making Music”, Crediton Town Council and several classical music trusts.
