SUMMER has come and brightened the days, and a Crediton gallery has prepared a new exciting exhibition which will bring us even closer to nature and its colours in fullness of life.
Tn exhibition at Art plus Frames at 18 High Street, Crediton, is entitled "The Spirit of Nature”.

Belinda Raynell’s oil paintings depict the soothing green of trees and landscapes and these are accompanied by Brendon Murless's sculptures that remind people of nymphs emerging from the earth.
Belinda, an accomplished landscape artist, said she takes inspiration from walks at Knightshayes Court, the National Trust property at Tiverton and in other woodlands.
She uses a palette knife and scrapers, all of her work in oils.

She holds a BA Honours degree in Illustration from Chelsea School of Art and an MA in Narrative Illustration and Editorial Design from Brighton University.
In 2019, she held her first London solo exhibition. Her work has been exhibited in London on the Southbank and also at Green and Stone Gallery in Fulham. In 2021 and 2022, she was shortlisted for the British Art Prize run by Artists and Illustrators.
Complimenting Belinda’s work are sculptures by Brendon Murless, which blur the boundaries between traditional techniques and contemporary artwork.
In addition there is work by artist and owner of Art Plus Frames, Monika Przerwa-Tetmajer, delightful oil and acrylic paintings and work by her artist co-owner Tom Pawinski, a professional joiner who specialises in woodwork and woodcarving.

The display at Art plus Frames at 18 High Street in Crediton is free for the public to go along and see until August 15.
Art plus Frames exhibits work by local artists and offers a bespoke framing service as well as high-quality art, photographic prints and prints on canvas.
