THERE’S a real buzz at CODS (Crediton Operatic and Dramatic Society) as members dive into one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year.

With multiple productions and events on the go, there’s something for everyone to enjoy or get involved with.

Rehearsals are now in full swing for this year’s pantomime, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Woods, which will take to the stage from December 20 to 22 at the Old Town Hall, Crediton.

This family favourite promises all the traditional pantomime magic – laughter, songs, slapstick and a few surprises along the way!

There will be matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday, December 20 and 21, perfect for families and younger audience members.

Before that, CODS is hosting a Bingo Fundraiser evening on Friday, November 15, raising money to support future productions and community events.

It’s a fun and friendly night out, with plenty of prizes to be won and a great opportunity to meet some of the CODS team.

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a regular supporter or just fancy trying your luck!

Looking a little further ahead, preparations are already underway for next spring’s musical production – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, running from April 13 to18, including a Saturday matinee.

Workshops are currently being held to help prospective cast members prepare for auditions in December, and anyone interested is encouraged to get involved.

It’s a fantastic show with a big ensemble, energetic music, and lots of opportunities for new and returning members alike.

Whether you’re interested in performing, helping backstage, or simply going along to enjoy a show, CODS always welcomes new faces and local support.
