RETURNING to Crediton after their acclaimed 2015 concert, The Chamber Philharmonic Europa, will this year bring an ensemble of nine musicians to present a concert in Crediton Parish Church on Thursday, June 15.
The Chamber Philharmonic Europa was founded in 2006 in Cologne, Germany.
It engages talented young musicians from 18 European nations, aiming to give these promising artists the opportunity for further development through a wide-ranging repertoire.
The musicians have performed in many concert halls and opera houses throughout Europe including Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Edinburgh and London’s Conway Hall.
The concert by the chamber orchestra, which will begin at 7.30pm, is being presented by the St Boniface Concert Society and is part of CredFest 2017.
The popular programme will feature Vivaldi’s "Concerto in G minor F.XI. no.21"; Albinoni’s "Concerto Saint Marc" for trumpet and orchestra and Adagio in G minor for string orchestra; "Little Suite for Strings Op.1" by Nielson and the Grieg Holberg "Suite Op.40".
Soloists will include Michel Gershwin on violin and Cyrill Gussaroff on trumpet.
Tickets priced at £14 (student concession £6, Under 16 free) are available from A E Lee Outfitters, High Street, Crediton and on the evening of the concert at the door.
