EMILY Hatt, aged nine years, who goes to Hayward's School, Crediton, has just completed her Devon Library Service Gold BookTrack at Crediton Library.

Emily was presented with a certificate and gold badge after she completed the task of reading 100 books and telling library staff about her favourite books.

Emily said she enjoyed taking part in the scheme, adding that her favourite authors are Jacqueline Wilson and JK Rowling.

She added that the scheme has also enabled her to discover new authors such as Dick King-Smith, Michael Rosen and Jeremy Strong.

Outside school, Emily enjoys camping, swimming, going to the Brownies and playing the clarinet.
