LANDSCORE Primary School in Crediton is currently gripped by election fever, six parties – the Banana Llamas, Landscore Warriors, Golden Eagles, The Bubblers, Rock Rulers and Purple Llamas – have launched their manifestos and are now canvassing for votes ahead of a whole school election.

All parties launched their manifestos in assembly on Monday, October 1, with election promises including improvements to the schools grounds, year 5/6 buddy schemes, tuck shops, increased opportunities for outdoor learning, changes to the dinner options and fundraising for charity.

Inside the school there are posters for the parties on the walls and badges are being worn by party members.

Although all parties agreed that Landscore is a great school, they all want to have an active school council which will help to make improvements and ensure that pupils ideas and needs are heard.

There will be a whole school election on Thursday, October 4, where pupils will cast their votes for the party they would like to see leading their school council. This will be followed by class elections to ensure every class is represented on the council.
