THERE is some great news for Chulmleigh College.

The College was the only Comprehensive Secondary School in the Southwest Peninsular to achieve "significantly above average" in every one of the 16 GCSE Department for Education Progress measures given to schools in England.

Mr Johnson, headteacher, said: "We are pleased to share the scale of the achievement for 2023 and delighted to report that Year 11 2024 have a trajectory in line with this.

"This will be the 9th consecutive year that Chulmleigh have across-the-board consistency, making us one of the top performing state Comprehensive Schools in England and well within the top 50 for the most demanding EBacc progress measure.

"This is all part of the Academy Trust Dividend; we have three partner primary schools in our Trust, Lapford, East Worlington and Chulmleigh.

"The children in these primary schools (who get priority admission for a place here at Chulmleigh College) receive an educational experience, from the age of two, which leads to these stand-out results."
