LADIES SECTION
Results of the County Stableford Five played on May 14 were as follows:
Silver Division: 1 June Mitchell 38pts, 2 Jo Coe 37pts, 3 Angela Battershall 36pts.
Bronze Division One: 1 Sharon Leach 37pts, 2 Sylvia Marklew 36pts (BB9), 3 Pat Jeens 36pts.
Bronze Division Two: 1 Annet Coles 37pts, 2 Wendy De'Beaujeu 34pts, 3 Linda Gill 31pts.
A Nine Hole Qualifier Stableford Three was played on the same day and was won by Sheila Woolacott with 16pts.
The Ladies section held a Breastcare Charity competition on May 21 and the final results of the Composite Stableford 2 played on March 1 and May 21 were as follows:
Silver Division: 1 Stephanie Moffat 36pts (Handicap cut to 17), 2 Sophie Button 32pts.
Bronze Division One: 1 Joyce Gilg 33pts, 2 Di Parsons 31pts.
SENIORS SECTION
Kenmar Trophies: Past Captains' of the Seniors recently played in this annual stableford competition held at Downes.
The winner of the Salver over 18 holes was Paul Fricker with a score of 38 points. The Tankard for the best front nine holes was presented to Geoff Woolacott. The event was followed by a dinner in the club house .
Seniors Invitation Open: More than 100 members and guests from other clubs took part in the annual Open held at the Club on May 11. Whilst conditions were difficult due to strong winds some very good scores were recorded.
In the guest section the winner was K Blake from Liberton Golf Club with 39 points on a bb9 from R Gateshill from Teignmouth Golf Club on the same score. In third place was C Jay from Ilfracombe Golf Club with 38 points.
Crediton members' scores were as follows: Paul Fricker 38pts, 2 Graham Jones 35pts on bb9, 3 Ken Legassick 35pts.
The presentation of the prizes was made by the Seniors' Captain David Moss.
MAY MEDAL
Results of the May Monthly Medal played at Downes Crediton Golf Club were as follows:
Division One: 1 Frank Sanders net 70, 2 Jim Kenshall net 70, 3 John Hooper net 71.
Division Two: 1 Ron Berry net 67, 2 Alan Willey net 68, 3 Eric Parkes net 69.
