LADIES SECTION
RESULTS of the Ladies EWGA Medal 13 played at Downes Crediton Golf Club on August 13 were as follows:
Silver Division: 1 Judith Ezard 75 net, 2 Juliet Gardner 76 net, 3 Stephanie Moffat 77 net.
Bronze Division One: 1 Di Parsons 77 net, 2 Sharon Leach 78 net, 3 Pat Jeens 79 net.
Bronze Division Two: 1 Norma Barry 81 net, 2 Annet Coles 84 net, 3 Linda Gill 87 net.
SENIORS SECTION
Devonians v Rest
This is an annual competition for seniors, held at the club and this year each team contained 32 players. The format is a fourball better ball, with 16 teams taking part. The result was a win for the Devonians 9.5 to 6.5.
This competition, which was set up by Dick Warren (this year's non-playing captain for the Devonians) 16 years ago and, overall, the Devonians are keeping ahead of The Rest by 9.5 to 6.5 wins. Well done, 'lads.'
Captain's Cup
Stapleford competition: Winner of the cup was John Hooper, with a score of 39 points, followed by Brian Mapledoram in Division One, with 38 points.
In Division Two Phil Moffatt led the field with 39 points, with Burford Cupper second on 36 points.
