DOWN St Mary Village Fayre was held on the village green at the beginning of June and was officially opened by Copplestone resident Frank Bristow, author of “The Bears of Bopplestone”.
Prior to the opening, and for the rest of the afternoon, a barbecue sold delicious food.
“Mark’s Magic” presented two magic shows which included balloon modelling, which kept children and adults entertained.
There were craft and produce stalls, teas, a tombola, children’s fancy dress competition, plants, handbags and bunting, a Hospiscare stall and games including egg throwing.
Tessa Pluck, on behalf of the Village Hall committee, said: “We had a successful day raising funds for the upkeep and improvement of our village hall and raised a total of £560.”
She thanked all those who helped and attended.
