CREDITON Parish Church is appealing to anyone that has an unwanted wheelchair in good condition that they could donate to the church.

Anne Jerman, secretary to Crediton Parochial Church Council, explained: “The availability of wheelchairs in both the Parish Church and the Boniface Centre is welcomed by visitors, especially during the June Flower and the Christmas Tree Festivals.

“Two wheelchairs have been removed as they were beyond economic repair.

“There is now just one assistance wheelchair in church and one in the Boniface Centre but one of the brakes is broken on this wheelchair.

“As a result, it is likely to be ’condemned’ on servicing prior to the June Flower Festival starting on Saturday, June 3.

“The Parish Church is therefore appealing to anyone that has an unwanted wheelchair in good condition that they would be willing to donate to the church. The PCC would be most grateful.”

If you can help, please telephone the Parish Office on 01363 773226 on a Tuesday or Friday morning or leave a message at other times.
