DEVON and Cornwall Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle on the A3124 from Whiddon Down towards North Tawton on Saturday, February 8.

The police received a telephone call about the incident at 1.05pm on the day and emergency services rushed to the scene.

Investigations indicate that the motorcycle had left the carriageway on the nearside.

The male rider was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. No other vehicles are believed to be involved.

Enquiries are continuing.
