CHULMLEIGH students Jamie Ward and Isaac Elston will be undertaking an ambitious challenge on August 18.

They will be attempting to visit all 49 National Rail stations in Devon in just one day.

They intend to set off early in the morning, starting in Barnstaple, travelling through Crediton at around 8am, and finishing late in the evening in Whimple.

Jamie and Isaac are completing this challenge in aid of the Railway Children charity, which helps children living on the streets in the UK, India and in East Africa by giving them safe places to stay and ways to bring them out of poverty and give them hope.

They say they would be grateful for any support and to-date have achieved £140 in sponsorship from friends and family.

The pair hope to raise more than £250.
