ON Easter Sunday, April 4, Rev Alison Richardson led the service at Crediton Methodist Church, when her theme was "Resurrection".

The family challenge was to decorate an eggshell and five people took part, each showing different emotions on the faces – thoughtful, sad, happy, smiley and some needing a lockdown haircut!

Alison had written a dramatic reading in which the gardener told the story of Jesus rising from the dead and the empty tomb. There was bewilderment in Jerusalem but glory in Heaven. This bewilderment led to worldwide belief.

She said how deep the Father’s love for us is shown on the cross and that as Jesus rose from the dead nothing is going to hold us down. Sin is defeated as Jesus took away the sins for the world. Hallelujah what a Saviour! We have bright hope for tomorrow.

The church is closed but services are held on-line. If you would like to join us live on Sunday morning at 10.30am, please contact the AV team using the email: [email protected] .

Individual help will be given to work out how you can best access the worship. Alternatively you can watch the service at a later date by going onto: www.creditonmethodist.org.uk .
