Great Western Railway has warned passengers that one of the trains serving the Dartmoor Line has broken down with disruption expected for the rest of the day.

The train operator has said train services between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton may be delayed or cancelled as “more trains than usual” need repairs, adding that maintenance teams were currently working to resolve the situation.

Affected passengers can use the local bus service or use their train ticket to travel on either the two services before or after their original train. GWR has not requested replacement transport services yet but said it will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates on its webpage.
