BLINK, a Working Cocker Spaniel and owner, Lauren Langman from Okehampton, took a top prize at Crufts on Friday, March 6.

Blink and Lauren won the Kennel Club Singles Agility small final.

Thrilled owner Lauren said: “That was so much fun. I’ve been here many times and I’ve not won it so it’s amazing to keep trying and finally do the big one.

“Agility is, for us, 24/7. We sleep it, we dream it, we think it, we train it. It’s a lot of fun, a lot of games and it’s not really all agility training, it’s more about relationship so if you’ve got a great relationship then everything falls into place.”

To compete at Crufts, the winners had qualified by gaining points at heats held at Kennel Club licensed shows throughout the country.

Vanessa McAlpine, Crufts Show Manager, said: “Congratulations to all of the winners for what were exceptional performances and proved how hard each pair had worked.

“The Singles Agility finals are a wonderful competition and even qualifying is an amazing achievement so well done to every dog and their handler for competing.”
