Crime reduction grants available
The Crimebeat panel is looking to support projects which can help young people, particularly those at risk of offending; who engage in anti-social behaviour; are subject to drug or alcohol abuse or who regularly skip school.
Inspector Julian Pezzani said: “The grants can help local people do something to help prevent young people from committing crime.”
Crimebeat is a national initiative which aims to empower people to make a difference in their local area by encouraging young people to get involved in community projects.
Funding for the grants is obtained from money recovered from criminals via POCA (Proceeds of Crime Act) and seizure of assets (Police Property Act).
Applications are available at: http://devoncf.com/apply/apply-for-a-grant/individual-grants/
Closing dates for applications is Sunday, July 9.
