A SKITTLES team which just keeps on winning has donated its winnings, the money instead of trophies and medals, to a local charity.

The Cricketers Skittles team plays in the Crediton and District Skittles League and the team members decided to support Sandford Millennium Green Trust with a donation of £350.

Phil Matten, The Cricketers team captain, said that the team made a similar donation last year to the charity, Sandford in Need.

He said the team, which plays home games at Sandford Cricket Club, was pleased to support the Millennium Green and presented the cheque to Steven McCulloch, the Millennium Green maintenance manager.
