IT was another frustrating weekend for Crediton Youth FC, as the frosty weather saw no fixtures take place.

Once again the club were able to run their Match Day Experience trip to Plymouth Argyle for predominantly the U10 and U11 age group players.

With Argyle sat at the top of League One and Home Park being a sell out for most home games it was always going to be a busy day for the fixture against Cheltenham Town.

It was an early 8am departure from Crediton for the group with a full coach load made up of coaches and players from additional age groups also keen to take advantage of the opportunity to visit Home Park.

The day started with a tour of the ground including the new away changing rooms.

That was followed by a training session with the Plymouth Argyle Football in the Community coaches in the nearby Life Centre.

After lunch, the group made their way into the ground after visiting the club shop and having a blast on the inflatable football pitch.

Club Chairman Adrian Harvey had again worked his magic with his choice of fixture.

The group saw six goals, with Argyle eventually running out 4-2 winners to remain at the top of the table.

Special thanks must go to everyone at Plymouth Argyle Football in the Community, Adrian Harvey for organising the trip, and all the Crediton Youth coaches for giving up their time on the day.

The club has always seen these visits as an important part of the club programme, which add to the overall package they try to offer their players. Such activities the club try to subsidise, to make them available to all players.
