FOR the Crediton Walk and Talk venture on Friday, June 9, we started at Kennerleigh and headed off eastwards, passing through a farm to gain the path across fields to Creedy Farm.

After a short section of lane walking to Leighcott Cross we regained the footpath which led us along the valley floor and woodland to the Crediton/Kennerleigh road.

Then, we walked a loop past Higher Woodbeer Farm and a track back to Kennerleigh, where several plants were purchased in the local shop.

A very enjoyable walk with good views, warm conditions and a welcome stop for coffee at the Crediton Garden Centre.

Crediton Walk and Talk group meet fortnightly at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre at 9.45am.

We meet at the Leisure Centre but walks may start from there or villages nearby and take around 90 minutes, covering about three miles but this does not include travelling time.

Anyone is welcome and walks are free to join. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome, as long as they are kept on a short lead.

The next walk is on Friday, June 23.
