AT the end of last year members of the Crediton Branch of the Royal British Legion presented Dunkirk House in Taunton with a further £400 to be used for the benefit of the residents at the RBL residential home.

The Crediton Branch raises funds throughout the year in addition to monies specifically for the Poppy Appeal.

Resident of Dunkirk House, Ray Blackmore, with the Home Manager, Anne Lewin, received the cheque from Branch Treasurer Jane Sansom who visited with Committee members Joan Grant and Wynn Elward.

Jane said: “It was lovely to have a guided tour of the home and meet up with Anne and the residents and know that 100 per cent of the money donated will be used without there being any admin or any other charges deducted.”

The Branch supports Dunkirk House as it is the only RBL home in the South West region, it also has a residential dementia unit alongside it in the grounds.
