A SLIGHTLY reduced turnout this month for the Crediton Probus Club meeting on December 3.
In spite of this it did not dampen our enthusiasm for bonhomie prior to lunch.
This month’s raffle for the ubiquitous bottle of wine was won by Keith Barker which cheered him up no end.
That led on to the regular quotation spot which was provided, this month, by Gerald Hill who decided a piece of light-hearted verse was what we needed.
Never was a Loyal Toast more richly deserved than for our Queen during all the present turmoil so we did our duty and this was closely followed by Brian Healey announcing this month’s speaker... David Duke.
David hails from a well-known West Country firm of solicitors and his mission this day was to wake us up to the serious need to have our affairs in order... he would wouldn’t he!
He wished to emphasise the sound sense of having in place a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) in addition to the normal Will.
