I DO not expect anyone to be inconvenienced by the closure of the "police station" at Crediton because it has not been open to the public for some time.

The last time I tried to speak to someone from the police I was directed to the telephone on the outside wall and after waiting 20 minutes for someone to answer the call I gave up and went home.

I cannot remember the last time I saw a policeman in Crediton and the only sign of law enforcement is the traffic warden issuing parking tickets!

When millions of pounds are spent on inquiries into events that happened decades ago we seem to have lost our sense of priority.
