FOLLOWING a change in Government regulations, Revd Matthew Tregenza is pleased to announce that Crediton Parish Church is opening for individual private prayer on Mondays from 10am to 12noon and on Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm.

People can come and go throughout those times. The church was first opened on Thursday, June 18.

Arrangements have been made to comply with the requirements of social distancing and there will be a one-way system within the church.

There will be stewards in place and those attending will be asked to hand sanitise on entry and exit and are encouraged to wear a face covering. The church toilets will not be available.

Government advice remains that individuals over 70 or with underlying health conditions are advised to stay at home as much as possible and, if they do go out, to take particular care to minimise contact with others outside of their household.

Those in the vulnerable category who are self shielding are advised not to go along to the church but to stay at home.

The opening for private prayer is a welcome, first small step to the reopening of places of worship.
