SIMPLY by making a bucket collection around town, Dave Blanchford has been able to deliver £715 to help the people of Ukraine through the British Red Cross.

He took the funds to the Crediton Red Cross shop where it was accepted by the shop manager, Wendy Archer.

David was annoyed at having caught Covid while he was collecting which meant an enforced break, he had hoped to be able to send £1,000 to the appeal.

David said: “Being able to say that to people who have asked where the money might be going has reassured them every time.

“It is also a very big thanks to Paul and Tara at Evans News in Crediton for letting me leave my bucket on their counter.”
