I WRITE in support of those people opposing Option 3 of the Crediton Link Road. In his letter of April 17, Paul Cartwright makes a thorough and compelling case why this ridiculous option must be squashed.
The noise, pollution and general devastation produced by accepting Option 3 would only make an appalling Exeter Road situation infinitely worse. Not only that, but in addition it would ruin the living conditions of those people living in the Fair Parks, Mill Street East, and Buller Square/Downeshead Lane areas.
Although less than ideal, the original Link Road proposal around the back of Downes House estate is the least bad option.
