CREDITON Library invites you to join bestselling crime writer Ann Cleeves for “Body in the Library” on Wednesday, October 21 at 6pm.

In this online event Ann will talk about her new book “The Darkest Evening", and the places that have inspired the Shetland, Vera Stanhope and Two Rivers series. “The Darkest Evening” is the ninth novel in the DCI Vera Stanhope’s series and is a classic country house mystery with a contemporary twist.

This special event brings the three regions, North East, Shetland and Devon together as Ann will be in discussion with a member of library staff from each region. Sue Lee, Crediton Library Supervisor, will take part and represent the Devon region.

Ann and library staff will also be offering ideas on how you can host virtual book groups or murder mystery evenings to connect with friends and family this autumn.

Details for Ann’s new “The Darkest Evening" themed murder mystery pack will be shared for you to download.

Tickets for the online event are priced at £2 and are available at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ann-cleeves-the-body-in-the-library-tickets-123657828895 .

Signed books will be available to order on the evening. Crediton Community Bookshop will be offering a £2 discount on these books at the event.

Crediton Library will be open to the public between 10am and 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm every weekday, except Wednesday, and between 10am and 12noon on Saturday.
