THERE was a good attendance at the annual meeting of CISCO, Crediton International Social Cultural Organisation,
which was held in the Council Offices, Market Street, Crediton.
CISCO helps migrant workers and their families to integrate into the host community. It runs free English lessons, a free Advice Centre and runs Multicultural events.
The meeting was a great success and plans were considered for CISCO’s 10-year anniversary in March 2019.
Plans were also made for the CISCO International food stall at the Crediton Food Festival and a programme of other events and activities for the forthcoming year.
Guest speaker was Alan Quick, who spoke of plans for the Crediton Diversity Festival, which is due to be held in the town on Saturday, November 10.
CISCO expressed its support for the event and how it would like to take part.
Officers for the coming year were elected with Maggie remaining as chairman, Dan as vice-chairman, Natalia as treasurer, Magda as secretary and Natalia R, as event co-ordinator.
