LAPFORD Voluntary Car Aid has received the generous donation of £300 from The Unity Freemasons Lodge No 1332 (Crediton) from its Benevolent Fund, which will cover a quarter of the charity’s yearly expenses.

Lapford Voluntary Car Aid provides subsidised transport for Lapford residents to enable them to attend medical appointments at doctors’ surgeries and dentists in the area.

It relies solely on donations, grants, legacies and fundraising.

It has been running since the mid-1980s and provides a very valuable service in the village.

The Car Scheme said it is “very grateful for the kind donation”, which was presented by Worshipful Brother Peter Heal to LVCA Chairman, John Burrows.
