AT their March meeting members of Crediton Flower Club enjoyed a most interesting talk and slide show from Miranda Allusen entitled “Glorious Gardens of Devon”.

Miranda is a county advisor to the National Gardens’ Association and throughout the talk she provided members with a history and insight into the scheme which was founded in 1972 in England.

It raises money for national nursing care and gardening charities by receiving donations and other support as a result of opening gardens of quality, character and interest.

We were shown an amazing variety of gardens in Devon from the historic great gardens to hidden gems that are only open occasionally for charity.

A most informative, entertaining and relaxing evening.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 7.30pm in the Boniface Centre. This will be a demonstration by Pat Penno entitled “Changing Seasons”. Visitors and new members are welcome.
