ST LAWRENCE Fair, held at the St Lawrence Chapel in Threshers, Crediton, took place during the afternoon of Saturday, August 13 and attracted a select audience.

Organised by the Friends of St Lawrence, stalls included cakes, games, books and handicrafts and teas were available.

The West Gallery Quire sang to entertain the audiences outside as it was such a lovely sunny day.

A grand total of £307 was raised and this will go towards the upkeep of the chapel and Médecins Sans Frontières, the charity that helps people worldwide by delivering emergency medical aid to those affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare.

The following day a special “Friends” Evensong was led by Rev Paul Fillery. He was accompanied by Richard Stephens on the organ and the West Gallery Quire.
