A STEADY flow of newly knitted hats and scarves, shoes, boots, coats, sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, hygiene products and vegetarian food, arrived at the Collection for Refugees held on Saturday, January 26, in Crediton Congregational Church.

"Support was generous and heartening,” said Laura Conyngham of Welcoming Refugees in Crediton.

She added: “A rota of volunteers received, sorted and packed items into packing boxes, donated by Rose Removals.

“Marcus Tribe agreed to taking, not just one load, but two, in his van to RAFT (Refugee Aid from Taunton) from where goods go to refugee camps in Europe, and James Gregory allowed his office to be interim storage space.

"Welcoming Refugees in Crediton thanks you all!"
