CREDITON-based Ernest Jackson, makers of the original soft and chewy multivitamin brand, Bassetts Vitamins, has revealed it is working together with BBC Children in Need to help more families enjoy special moments, thanks to a £100,000 donation from the brand to the charitable organisation.

The donation will be used by BBC Children in Need to support a variety of family-focussed charities and projects in Devon and around the UK which work to make a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children and young people as BBC Children in Need’s famous Pudsey Bear pops-up on two products within the Bassetts Vitamins range from September.

No stranger to supporting local charities, staff at the brand’s parent company, Ernest Jackson, have taken part in 200-mile bike rides, crazy-costume-days and bed-pushing across the Devon countryside over the years.

Commenting on the partnership, Skye Lucas-Banks, Marketing Manager at Ernest Jackson, said: “We believe that even the smallest moments in family life can be special and all families deserve to enjoy them.

“BBC Children in Need supports a whole host of local charities and projects that can help make that a reality for many, so this is a great opportunity for Bassetts Vitamins, and the Ernest Jackson community, to help as many families as possible enjoy special moments together.”

Claire Hoyle, Commercial Director at BBC Children in Need commented: “We’re incredibly grateful to Bassetts Vitamins for its generous support. This partnership will go on to make a positive, lasting difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in communities across the UK.”

Ernest Jackson has more than 200 years’ experience and expertise in developing, manufacturing and marketing medicated confectionery and vitamin pastilles.
