KISS (Keep is short and simple) is a new series of micro courses created by Community Interest Company, Clarity CIC for the voluntary and community sector.
Jacqui Wolstenholme has worked for the not-for-profit sector for more than 20 years and is experienced in supporting charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises from start-ups to long-standing organisations.
Jaqui says: “Because the courses are ‘short and sweet’ (all workshops are two hours long) they cost less and can be fitted into an early morning slot, an extended lunch time, late afternoon or early evening, offering practical and relevant training without taking up the whole day.”
With a special interest in rural Devon, the community council for Devon, are offering two options: 1) a course at DCT’s training facility at the Matford Business Park where those attending can network with people from other organisations or 2) if travel and time are a restraint, the training being taken to those who want it. Free places are available to hosts who can provide a venue in their locality.
Nora Corkery, Head of Business Operations at Devon Communities Together is delighted with this new suite of courses saying: “This is just what is needed in Devon, specialised courses tailored to the needs of voluntary and community development organisations that are small, highly targeted and provide a solid understanding of the subject area – delegates will not need to travel extensively and will leave after just 2 hours with new specific skills.”
