CHAIRMAN, Margaret Webb,

welcomed members and two

visitors, Wendy and Annie, to

the February meeting of Sandford

Good Companions.

Arrangements were made

for future events including

the next meeting on Thursday,

March 7 which will be a

social lunch at the Red Deer,

Crediton.

On Thursday, June 6 secretary,

Margaret Phillips, has

organised a coach outing to

Clarke's Village and another

to Brixham on Thursday, September

5.

The annual meeting will

be held on Thursday, April

4 and visitors and prospective

new members are very

welcome. Membership still

stands at just £5 per year.

The coach trips are open to

all at a very reasonable price

and members also get a discount.

The Companions' summer

garden party will take place

in August at Summerhayes,

as everyone enjoyed it there

last year.

It was then social time when

president, Judith Phillips, was

the caller for a lively game of

bingo. The afternoon ended

with tea and biscuits and the

usual draw.

Everyone commented how

comfortable the Congregational

church hall is, with excellent

facilities for refreshments.
