GLUTEN-free and dairy-free cakes were among the selection at the coffee morning held in Colebrooke Parish Hall, raising £181 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Gluten-free and dairy-free cakes are always available at the regular coffee mornings held at the hall on the second Thursday of every month, from 10.30am and for hall funds, and when the draw is made for the 200 Club in aid of the parish magazine.

On Saturday, September 29, there was even a glorious Gin and Tonic cake, Lemon and Poppy Seed or home-made scones with pots of clotted cream and strawberry jam as well as hot sausage rolls.

Anyone who was not able to get there missed a really good plate of food, never mind the chatter.

Colebrooke Parish Hall Committee is planning to hold a coffee morning for Macmillan every three months.

Prize winners on the Saturday were Rachel Hodder and Margaret Widger.
