A NUMBER of residents from Westleigh in Coldridge parish baked Easter cakes to raise money in aid of the charity, Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Vickki Ridge explained: “A total of 67 boxes were delivered to Coldridge, Westleigh, Eastleigh, Chilverton and Crediton.

“I would like to to thank everyone who supported the cause by ordering the cake boxes and a massive thank you to the bakers: Rachel Ridge, Rosemary Clarke, Lisa Warsop and Leanne Ridge.

“Thanks also to Graham Farrington for helping to deliver.

“We raised £360 for the charity so thanks to everyone who bought cakes and donated to the charity during Easter week.

“We wanted to do something to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance because we know that most of the usual village fundraising events have been cancelled due to Covid, so this was our small ‘socially distanced’ way of doing something. And how grateful we are to be able to benefit from the service the Air Ambulance.”

“I hope everyone had a lovely Easter.”
