THE recent Churches Together Holiday Club held at Crediton Congregational Church was again a huge success with more than 70 children aged from five to 11 years of age attending throughout the week.

The club was this year organised by Lauren Stacey and Dave Poulson with volunteer helpers from a variety of churches in Crediton. Teenagers also helped to lead the groups.

The theme this year was “Backpacking across Europe” and each group was named after a country.

There were lots of crafts, modelling, bread making, treasure jars and making palm leaves, flags and banners.

The daily activities followed the Easter story of Jesus and culminated with a big celebration on Sunday, August 4, when families were given the opportunity to view the work of the children and enjoyed a family barbecue.
