THE launch of the Holy Cross Crediton Campaign Roof Appeal will take place at the church at 11am tomorrow, Saturday, May 3. Anyone who would like to know more about what this huge project involves and how it is planned to raise the funds needed is welcome to go along and join those involved in the project for tea and cake. The appeal will be launched by the Rector, Preb Nigel Guthrie. At the launch a message of support from the Bishop of Crediton will be read out and a cheque for £4,000 will be presented as an initial contribution by the Friends of Crediton Church. Immediately prior to the launch a peal will be rung on the Holy Cross bells by a team of visiting bellringers from 10am.
