CHULMLEIGH Primary School enjoyed a great visit from Pudsey Bear on Tuesday, November 13, ahead of Children in Need day.
Children from the Primary and the Pre-school raised money by going into school wearing the various colours that make up Pudsey’s face and then got together to form an enormous Pudsey face on the school playground.
The Stapley family made a “Pudsey face” cake and six Year 6 girls used their break times from the beginning of term to make friendship bracelets, which they sold and raised more than £25.
Money raised was presented to Pudsey in a whole school assembly, and the children then enjoyed a question and answer session – asking Pudsey questions that could only be answered with a “yes” or “no”.
He then visited each of the classes and gave a high five or a hug to any of the children who wanted one.
Head of School, Mrs Newman, said: “We are very grateful to ‘Spotlight South West’ for allowing Pudsey to visit Chulmleigh Primary School and Pre-school today, the pupils were delighted to see him and, most importantly, were very proud to hand over the money they had raised directly to him.”
