LADIES at St Swithun’s Church, Sandford have been busy put- ting together shoeboxes of donated items for charity.

Sandford organiser, Marga- ret Phillips and helpers, Jean Hope, Elaine Stanlake, Rita King and Pamela Tilney-Ellis packed a number of shoeboxes in the Under Gallery of the church. Altogether Sandford community and friends packed up 66 shoeboxes for charity containing gifts, donated by

the congregation and members of the community including hand-knitted items, hairbrush- es, toothbrushes, colouring books, pens, crayons, sweets, chocolates, toys and games.

All the shoeboxes were packed with gifts for either a boy or a girl and marked ac- cordingly.

Organiser, Margaret Phil- lips thanked everyone who contributed and helped to make the appeal such a success.
