THIS year’s annual Christingle Service, which always attracts a large congregation of adults and children at St Matthew’s Church, Coldridge, will be held at 4pm on Sunday, November 29.

During the service, which will be conducted by Team Vicar, the Rev Lindsey Starrs, she will explain the significance of the Christingle.

Children will read prayers and some of the readings.

All the children who attend will receive a lighted orange Christingle.

The Children’s Society receives donations of money collected from candle-shaped money boxes and from donations made during the service.

After the service the congregation is invited to enjoy coffee, tea and squash and hot mince pies.
