CHILDREN had great fun making their own pizzas from scratch at Crediton Library on Wednesday, February 14.

Clare from The Crafty Cook CIC and Florrie taught them how to make the dough and the tomato sauce.

The children then chose what toppings to put on their pizzas. They then took their pizzas and left over tomato sauce to eat at home.

Recycle Devon funded the event to help show people that you can use up left overs as toppings for pizzas.

Library Supervisor, Sue Lee, said: “We are grateful to The Crafty Cook CIC and Recycle Devon for another lovely event.

"In October last year we had a Pumpkin Rescue event with them when the children made pumpkin soup, pumpkin rock cakes and toasted pumpkin seeds using the inners of their pumpkins.

"The events are always fully booked and the children have a great time while also learning about preventing food waste.”
