THE popular BBC Radio Four programme Any Questions? will be broadcast live from Cheriton Fitzpaine Parish Hall on Friday, December 22.
From 8.02pm, Jonathan Dimbleby will present political debate from the hall with the Liberal Democrat spokesman on Home Affairs Ed Davey MP, the Rt Rev Dame Sarah Mullally, the Bishop of Crediton and the Mayor of Bristol Marvin Rees.
Tickets for the event have all been snapped up, mainly by local residents, but everyone across the whole country will be able to listen to the debate from the relatively remote village.
Local resident Rebecca Smith offered the hall as a venue for the programme and believed it would be too small, but the offer was snapped up by the BBC.
She explained: “As well as the panel we will have 165 people in our audience.
“The village is really pleased to be hosting the event and we are sure that there will be some interesting debate.
“All the seats have been allocated so unfortunately there is no room for anyone else who hasn’t got a ticket but we hope everyone will tune in and listen.”
The programme will be repeated on Saturday, December 23 at 1.10pm.
