CHERITON Fitzpaine Parish Church was well-filled with an appreciative (and masked) audience for the Ad Hoc and Friends Christmas Concert.
They had been much missed during the pandemic and everyone looked forward to hearing them again.
The concert, in memory of Lesley Smith MBE, one of the original founders, was a mixture of Secular and Sacred music with the West Raddon Trio (two flutes and viola), Ad Hoc Singers and Piers Howell on the organ.
As is usual at Christmas, there were two congregational carols sung lustily by choir and audience alike.
The event was followed by refreshments supplied by members of the St Matthew’s congregation.
Proceeds will be in aid of St Matthew’s Church and the Methodist Church, Cheriton Fitzpaine and Crediton Parish Church Music Foundation.
